UPDATE! I resized the picture and made other minor changes. Now it looks WAY better, its not blurry anymore!

My 2nd attempt to a landscape.
I was inspired to paint this after admiring yet an other masterpiece made by the awesome ~Narandel

The Japanese Kanji means "Roots" (on the bottom left corner and on the rabbit's back). It does actually take parts in the whole interpretation process of the work, but I'd like to leave it to the watcher, rather than ruining it with my considerations.

Are you sure you haven't had a tablet for years and years before starting to upload your digital art? Because this is the work of a pro.

i ADORE the scenery i *cough* mightuseitoneday *cough* the perspective of the rocks in the background is true to life so it is a good clash of surreal and real life image.

i will say though, this does remind me of Tatchit. They do a lot of landscapey things and this looks like something she would do (no offense meant).

your technique again is awesome, thanks to screen sharing i know which brush you usually go for to get the look your achieve <:3 The sky also adds a great effect, instead of a single gradient or black colour there are brush strokes within it showing that you really put lots of effort into your piece.

That tree is perfect. you've caught it's action perfectly giving a sense of movement to the still, harmonious scenery.

As for the meaning..... i must admit that you've puzzled me a bit here XD "roots." hmmm.... welll... Maybe you're trying to convey something about how every event has to have a root, or a cause. but i'm not totally sure XD please enlighten me :3

Nope, no sharpen tool at all! When I painted this I didn't even know it existed lol... This is the actual level of detail, you couldn't see it before because dA's resizing system messes up with it a lot...

Oh my... this looks amazing ! I really like the heavy atmosphere here and you did an amazing job on the lighting here ! I really like how there is a hint of a hard blowing wind as I'm looking at the tree in there (: And I haven't mentioned it before but your rabbit character has a really interesting design, something about it really catched my attention ! I just wandered through you new uploaded artworks and I see him appear in very interesting and alien envirionments :] And here it really gives me a feeling as if I'm looking at a whole other kind of dimension with the glowing cracks in the rocks, it also gives me a bit of a feeling like the character is lonely. The cool colors really add to that feeling (: I think you did an amazing job here, you're definitely on the right track! Keep up the great work ! (;

I still can't thank you enough for all the links you sent me, those really helped (and still help) me a lot improving in what in my eyes still look like a completely new experience.
And for sure, I will keep up my work, every day I spend time painting, and I'm getting more and more addicted to it as I try to do my best to improve.
I really wish to reach the skill level of artists like you, and seeing your awesome works always makes me want to keep practicing even more (:
